How to do Newcastle Farmers Markets well!
One of the easiest ways to shop local is to head to the local farmers market on a Sunday but I know it can be overwhelming where to start! Especially with the kids in tow!
So, here’s the hard work done for you, I will take you on a trip to the producers we visit where you can rely on great produce!
We look for organic / low spray producers or signs that say Genuine Producer
And just a note on COVID - there are strict social distancing measures in place and I feel safe there every time, especially being in the great outdoors verses a shopping centre.

Johnsons Farm Gate
Karl and the team have lots of produce that is organically grown, or using organic principles. There is a bunch that is grown on Karl’s farm and they also source produce to sell from their farmer friends. There are signs on the produce to let you know which is organically grown, also anything that says Freshcare is organic too!
